Healthy Lifestyle Tips - Ten Reiki-Inspired Practices For Joyful, Vibrant Living

Learning Reiki has changed my life in the most profound, positive and illuminating way. Reiki is a holistic technique for relaxation and stress reduction and it promotes healing. It is an amazing technique to learn and practice. However, many other positive living aspects flowed into my life as an accompaniment to my Reiki path.

I say with emphasis that I am the happiest, most optimistic and joy-filled that I have ever been in any previous time in my life. And my health has followed along. What did I learn that changed me so dramatically? Here are 10 suggestions that I have incorporated into my life. Begin your own transformation, a step at a time -- and you don't have to be a Reiki Master!

1. Learn the Five Reiki Precepts and make them part of each day. These are the foundation of Reiki, devised by Mikao Usui, the originator of Reiki. These are timeless principles -- simple, yet profound.

Just for today: I will not anger (or become angry); I will not worry; I will have gratitude for my blessings; I will do my work honestly; I will be kind to all living things.

Say them aloud to yourself every day, paying special attention to the meaning of each as you speak each one. For example, give some real thought to gratitude. What are you grateful for in your own life?

2. Practice self-healing and positive energy for yourself. In Reiki, we learn that in order to help others, we first need to experience our own healing. We learn many techniques for this, but anyone can use imagery. One easy idea is to see yourself in a "bubble" of white healing light. Visualize yourself as being filled with this radiant light, each organ and every cell of your body being revitalized and healed. Have faith in your own ability to self-heal!

3. Learn the Universal Laws -- most importantly the Law Of Attraction. If you've never heard of it, watch the DVD "The Secret" -- which is the movie that started the wide recognition of the this concept. Basically, the law of attraction is this: "That which is like unto itself is drawn." We create our own realities. Energy flows where your attention goes. What you focus on expands. So what we focus on -- in both thoughts and feelings -- determines our own energetic vibrations, and what will flow into our own experience.

4. Elevate your sense of humor and live your life with laughter! People claim to have been healed from serious conditions from extreme laughter and humor in their lives. Whether or not this is true, there is no doubt that real and authentic laughter raises our vibration and just makes us feel good, even ecstatic! Fill your life with fun, chuckles and belly laughs -- and reap the benefits!

5. Meditate on a daily basis. Our fast-paced lives are filled with extreme multi-tasking. Meditation comes in many forms so do what feels right for you. One starter suggestion is a simple breathing technique. Sit in a quiet place and focus on your breath as you gently and slowly inhale for a count of three and exhale for a count of six. After a few minutes, you should feel a bit calmer. Any meditation, even in small doses, will bring some benefit!

6. Use positive affirmations. Many of us were brought up thinking negative statements about ourselves and our lives. These thoughts can leave us feeling drained, dismal and unbalanced. By consciously and consistently replacing them with positive statements, you can steer your life in a more uplifting direction. Affirmations are powerful and transformational. Start today with this simple affirmation: I relax into the flow of life and trust that the Universe provides all I need easily and at the right time...

7. Capture the moment and live in the now! Much of the time, we let the present just slide past us, worrying too much about the future, or wallowing in the regrets of the past. The power of living in the now keeps us focused, centered and connected to our inner guidance. It is said that living in the present results in more vibrant feelings of well-being, calmer blood pressure, and reduction in stress. We need to train ourselves to be aware of our thinking habits. So right now, focus on feeling joyful!

8. Connect with like-minded people who share your views and optimism. I've heard it said that each of us is a reflection of the five people who we spend the most time with (this is not necessarily your "five favs" on your mobile phone!) If we are the sum total of these friends, then think about your own immediate social circle. If they are mainly "gloom and doom", then perhaps it is time to add some new, more uplifting acquaintances to your inner circle. Join an association, club or organization that resonates with your interests and attitude.

9. Make exercise and movement part of your routine: keep yourself moving, fluid and flexible! It's good for your heart, your life, and your outlook! If it's tough to go the traditional route of 3 or 4 days at the gym, try a brisk walk. Take the dog for a hike around the neighborhood -- it will be good for both of you. Do some physical "labor" within the house -- clean out a closet, basement, or your entire living space -- and do it with gusto! You will burn calories and get some cardio at the same time. Be creative to keep yourself limber. Do what it takes to motivate yourself!

10. Last but not least: reflect on what you put into your body -- yes your diet! I found that changing my way of eating to a much healthier and "green" diet has made a huge impact on the way I feel. For starters, lose the volume of fattening, processed food and rev up the number of servings of fresh fruit and vegetables, preferably organic ones!

So go ahead, try one -- or all - of these tips right now, and go forth and be happy, vibrant and inspired!

Doctor Recommended - Better Sex is Healthy Living, Last Longer and Improve Your Sex Life

In any relationship that two people devote themselves to, sooner or later sex can become the deciding factor to compatibility. So, for most couples it is certainly a very important issue. Now, when you reach an age where sex is no longer the most important, then none of these factors apply but in order to get to that point; you have to have good sex that sustains you both and will keep you together.

For many couples the standard is common enough. The girl takes too long and the guy does not last long enough. Now, does any of this sound familiar? One way to improve on this is to start keeping a small mental record of just how long your partner lasts and keep your actions of titillation in coordination with this. This can be very effective as well as informative as to what your partner really enjoys. Always keep in mind your own climactic factor as well and if there are any ways you can increase your climax time to more coincide with the one you love.

If you can achieve this, then the more confident your partner will be and the comfortable the relationship will feel.

One thing should be mentioned here. There is no rule that you both have to climax together in order to have great sex. This is an important factor to consider because it is rare that this happens, even for the most compatible couple ever in the existence of couples! Now this is not to say that is does not happen because it does. It is just not something that you want to put all your emphasis on. The more you do the more you will be disappointed.

A lot of this comes from the Media, television, and movies.

That too is a trouble these days, as everyone has an almost movie style fantasy view of sex. That you should both climax together, at the exact same time, every time and then doves fly, after the ground settles from shaking. We should remember that reality is very different from that which we can really achieve. Nature is more strict with compatibility in other ways, than that of our own. I have always found it very interesting that:

Sex does not look how it feels.

Sooner or later, you will learn that good sex, even great sex does not always work that way. The way we keep our image of it any way. Getting rid of all those "Picture PERFECT" images of sex and relationships is the first thing to do in order to get a little closer to actual picture perfect outcomes. The irony behind this is certain and for some reason or another not a coincidence. There are better ways to conquer your problems than by measuring them up to magazine ads and popular opinion.

So, stop trying to reach climax at the same time and focus on enjoying sex through exploring each others bodies. You can take turns pleasing each other and this, I can tell you, will be a whole lot of fun. Making the focus more targeted will help you improve sex and help keep the length more time-line appropriate.

Take an evening and devote it completely and totally to the woman, then the man on the next night. While you are working through this scenario, you will more than likely simply by the law of probability,(and adding the fact once you stop trying for it it will happen), you will climax together! It will more than likely catch you by surprise and it can be a lot of fun even if you never do.

There are always ways you can prolong your sex. As well as many ways to improve sex, but very few of them can help you to prolong and improve it. Most tips that prolong sex genuinely do not improve on it. Like the major prolonging ejaculation trick that suggests once your feeling as though you are about to climax, stop and apply pressure to the tip of the penis for 1-3 minutes. That is not fun and although it can work, it has never really worked well for us.

Keep in mind, that there are certain positions that can help increase a mans hang time. Woman on top helps in this exact way. There are also a range of vitamins and dietary supplements that can help. Learning all you can about these is suggested before you run out and try them. You do not want to take anything that might produce adverse affects. Which brings me to my next option, medications.

These days there is a pill for almost anything. I am of a mind to Not recommend them but at the same time, it is really not my place. It is yours and it can be different for everyone and is doctor recommended for all kinds of people. One word of caution is to always, ALWAYS, consult your doctor first before going this route. And I would also suggest trying out and learning all the natural ways of combatting this issue first before you go into medications. That way you can combine the two and find yourselves a comfortable medium and get the most out of your sex.

Breathing practices are good in helping males to maintain erections and being in peak physical condition is also the best suggestion yet. Stay away from fatty foods and foods high in cholesterol. If you are eating a lot of red meat and your cholesterol is high that could be the direct cause of your lasting efforts.

High cholesterol clogs your arteries and can disrupt and slow the flow of blood to your organs. This is also true for your 'Main Vein', as some people like to call it. This can be your number one reason, the best motivation to eat healthier, right?

So keep fit, exercise regularly, take your vitamins and have longer lasting, better sex! There is a treasure house of information just waiting for you. You just have to be determined, creative, patient, and courageous enough to find it and check it all out. When it is all said and done the old school rules still apply here too, 'Practice Makes Perfect'!

The best way to sustain good sex is by keeping things interesting. If you can learn all that you can about new ways to improve your sex, then you will ultimately be on your way to having more sex. Try out these 500 Lovemaking Tips and Best Kept Sex Secrets both of you will Love It!
